Thursday, 13 November 2008 SUPER DUPER LONG LONG POST. :x AYE. the subaru challenge lasted 4 long and tough days. even thou i wasnt e contestant. im part of it. :) i never regret working at this event cos its so memorable and definitely a great experience for me. i never was interested in this event. or rather never even give a damn abt it. but now.. im missing it. esp the people i met. in fact when i ended my shift, i would still be concern abt wads going on at e site. tuning in to 98.7 to get the latest news and stuff. days working there were tiring cos we marshals have to stand with them as well and may get a lil boring at times. but there were happy times too. i get to know some contestants and it always feel good to see them hanging on when u are back to work the very next day. not only that, i got to know some of the contestants' supporters as well! ------------------------------------------------- the 2nd day i was asked to look after car 1 which was the regional car. but by the time i was there, there were only 1 last female regional contestant. and the hong kong reps left alr. leaving peeps from Philippines, Malaysia and Thailand. they were really friendly. some keep chatting with me and stuff. nd okayy, actually we werent supposed to talk to them. :x OOPS. but some were really awkward cos they keep asking qns like would i go out on the date with them if they win e car? and some want my email and stuff. LIKE OMG. then even their supporters also know my name and keep calling me to take photo also. oh! and they have alot of supporters and they were all very HYPER and SUPER SUPPORTIVE! i like their spirit man! and bcos one of the Bangkok guy wants to take pics with me and i cnt cos im working.. their crew actually took pictures of me luhh! OMG. den i told winner so they can photoshop and put his face in later on. HAHAS. then winner's car beside me was damn funny. they were damn hyper and comical as well! den me and winner keep laughing. oh, and we have to give out yellow tags as warnings. 3 yellow tags and you're out. and so.. i gave my first yellow tag to a Philippines dude who move his fingers. and my 2nd and 3rd yellow tags to a malaysia guy. its damn saddening. he requested for it. kinda like suicidal. cos he doesnt want to continue, but at the same time doesnt want to appear as if he gave up, but rather being disqualified. so i gave it to him. :( aww. and my 4th tag to a malaysia guy who did the stupid "MAGIC" thingy. he went out dat night as well. then before ending my shift, my fellow marshal came to me and sae a guy by e name of nicholas asked him to pass to me. den im like which nicholas. he says he dont know, he just know the guy asked him to tell me i know him. -.- then he was there waving frantically to me. LOL. I SWEAR I DONT KNOW HIM LOHH. and i turned back and winner and i read e note: "hey, coffee some day? msg me 811*****, nicholas" LOL. so dats how the 2nd day went by. --------------------------------------------------- skipped school on monday to work. :x then love and i was freaking late for work! when i was there, i was really sadd to see people whom i know left alr. :( and oh boy, it was raining cats and dogs! super cold! and i could see many of them shivering like mad. :/ this time was asked to stand by at car 8 i think. left 3 woman. woo. still going strong. :) then transfered to car 6. the one dat winner was looking after. she told me she gave this malay guy a yellow tag and hes like scary and winner were afraid he would hit her or smth. so i exchanged with her. DRAMA STARTED: drama 1: e guy's leg was swollen like PIG TROTTERS and he sure look creepy. and yup, i caught him a few times slipping off the print. after e 1pm break, he was sent out. drama 2: then there was this girl who look creepy as well! OMG. pimpled faced, long hair and she look grumpy and frowns all e time! :x and the best part is.. all of them were drenched by the rain, (they can actually go for wet tee contest. HAHAS. jk.) we could see all e girls' bra luhh. but SHE DONT HAVE. and i have guy marshals asking e female marshals, she got wear not? LOL. and i caught her lifting her fingers up! i confronted her but she just keep saying pitifully: NO I DIDNT NO I DIDNT. -.- fine. i gave her another chance. drama 3: and there were this guy who looked fine BUT HES NOT. cos his hand was a lil out of e print. so i asked him t shift it back. he dint react. then my i/c saw, he repeated but e guy still dint respond. so we had to send him out. HE TOTALLY JUST STONE THERE! his hand still on the car. so my i/c had to lift his palm off and get him seated on the wheel chair. so scary! he couldnt talk nor react! then e rest were still fine. there were this ang moh looking malay guy and lilian talking to me. :) and lilian was calling me angel marshal! hees. nd i was supporting lilian cos she was last year's runner up! so i had my bet on her. the malay guy was going strong as well. and both of them sure play by the rules. unlike e other woman who keep giving me trouble. gave her umpteen warnings alr. tsk! then i got tired of that place after standing there for the whole day. was transferred to car 10. left 4 guys. OMG. DRAMA STARTED AGAIN! drama 4: LOL. there were 2 Indian guy at e boot. their convo was super funny! one of e indian guy keep crapping thou. he kept saying he dont know how to play the game. and kept asking me so the game is just abt putting ur hand on the print? IM LIKE DUH. and u have been there for 50 plus hours u tell me u dont know how to play this game!? zzz. then e other one was having hallucination! hahas. super funny. cos he say the other indian guy look like monkey. LOL. but there was a part i was rather bothered. cos i never seen anyone had hallucination before and i dint know it would be so scary. he said he couldnt see his hand. and said someone put a "glove" on his hand and he tried to peel it off by pulling his skin! OMG! -.- drama5: after the break, i was looking after e ones at e front. the guy looked blanked out. really scary. then he kept adjusting his fingers when its actually alr perfect. and he asked me qns like " do i pull it off? " so me and the other malay guy were telling him " no! no! just leave it there. you are doing fine. " he have a lot of supporters behind him calling out to him. his parents kept calling his name.. trying to talk to him. and he is in such a bad state that whatever his parents say, he will just do. and when his parents asked him " do u know wad u are doing here? " he was like shaking his head. O.O ohman. i have to keep telling him to shift his fingers into the print. and many could see tat he cmi alr, started to crowd ard the area. after a long fight, his fingers started moving up and we had to keep asking him to lay it flat. the next thing, he actually shifted his whole palm out of e print! OMG. thats it. i was like SHOCKED. no choice but to disqualified him. so the last man standing at car 10 e malay guy. was talking to him until e next marshal took over. and i thot he would last! cos he seems so strong.. but the next day im there. he wasnt there alr. ohman. then i/c ben sent me home since he stays near my house. whee. free ride home! --------------------------------------------------------------- went back to see them on tuesday after my class with my classmates, jialing nd hazel. ohman. the last regional guy (thai) was out when im there. :( leaving 5 of them. 3 girls and 2 guys. and so i thot the chances of female winning this year again will be higher. but when i got home and saw the news, am so sadd. lilian and rose were out. :( heh. then leaving 2guys 1 girl. then was 1guy vs 1 girl. and finally the winner is the GUY! anyway, congrats! am kinda sadd for those who lasted so long but aint e winner luhs. so wasted. they were this close.. -----------------------------------------------------

the malaysia peeps! p.s: awww. some of the contestants who were out came back to support their fellow remaining car peeps! how sweet. giving them encouragement and support! :) and some strangers who just come up to the contestants and tell them they support them! how nice right?! really heartwarming i think. pss: and the regional contestants who were out actually came back and its great to see them again! :D then they took pics with me when i went for my break! hees. suddenly felt like a star. HAHAS. jk. psss: okayy the bangkok guy came back on wed and took out his iphone and theres this flashing words thingy.. i couldnt see wads e whole thing. i only saw the words "nice girl"? LOL then waited for me till i end work at 11 to pass me his namecard nd ask me to call him. den everytime i bump into him he will keep saying "call me uh." -.- i dint. :x nd ask me out cos hes going back on thur. i keep saying i gt sch cnt. HAHAS. to sum it all up.. i enjoy my days at the subaru challenge! |
